Frederick County Maryland Dog Parks
Frederick county residents are lucky to have so many wonderful parks and hiking trails close by to take advantage of. The majority of these parks accept leashed pets, however, there are two parks that are fenced in and specifically designated as dog parks. One is located on the south side of Frederick County, and the other in downtown Frederick MD:
Ballenger Creek Dog Park - this park is located on the south side of Frederick County, MD, off Ballenger Creek, and has two fenced in areas for dogs to run, one is designated for large and medium sized dogs, and the other for small sized dogs.

Baker Park Dog Park - located in the heart of downtown Frederick, MD where Baker park meets Bentz Street, this dog park consists of a fenced in area. This is an ideal location to let your pet run off some steam before taking him or her to one of the dog friendly shops or restaurants in downtown Frederick.

Downtown Frederick Maryland - shopping
Downtown Frederick Maryland is a great place to live, not just for people but pets too! There are many restaurants in the downtown area that allow pets, as well as shops that are dog friendly. As you walk around the shops down there, keep an eye out for a paw print on the windows and doors of shops, this indicates that the store is dog friendly and your pooch can accompany you in there!
